Referral and Fees​

Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration. While you do not need a GP referral to engage in sessions, a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) may help with the associated fees. 

Medicare MHCPs can be arranged through your GP, offering a rebate of $145.25 per session, which equals an out-of-pocket fee of $114 per session. Medicare allows for up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. A reduced fee can be offered for financial hardship. Alternatively, you may be able to claim for sessions via private health insurance if included in your cover.
